FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES WITH COMMONFOLKART
Here at COMMONFOLKART, one of my favorite things to do is partner with small groups in fundraisers. Here's how it works:
After we discuss your needs, I will design for you a t-shirt specific to your cause or event, as well as advertising flyers and sales forms. You purchase one or two samples of the shirt at low cost (plus shipping), and start showing them around, distributing flyers and taking orders.
When you accept an order for a shirt, you take payment. When you are finished taking orders, you send my part of the proceeds on to me, and keep the rest for your organization. (I usually split shipping costs with fundraising groups.)
Because you get paid from your "customers" as they order, you don't have to put out ANY cash at all (except for sample shirts); because I get paid by you before producing your shirts, I don't have to lay out money for materials at the offset. It's a no-lose situation for all.
As far as shirt design goes, most people prefer to give me some basic info and leave the designing to me, which is how I prefer to work. Conversely, you can supply me with images you would like printed on the shirts. And the shirts do not necessarily have to specifically represent your cause or group: you might decide that a PEACE SIGN shirt, or a shirt with an inspirational message, might sell better in your area, and we could do that, instead. I have hundreds of standard shirt designs available.
Pricing is fair -- your group will see a considerable profit, while I make a smaller-than-usual profit, but get the benefit of having helped a worthy cause.
